Fukushima Fund for Saving Children from Radiation
Children of Fukushima are suffering from radiation contamination from the meltdown at the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power plant in 2011. The Ryozen–Satoyama camp in Fukushima was established with a vision of giving children a chance to experience nature and the outdoors. Because of the nuclear disaster the camp has moved to Sado Island, off the west coast of Japan, with the goal of giving children of Fukushima a chance to help their bodies recover from continuous radiation exposure. Funds are greatly needed for renovation of the camp at the new site, for staffing, transportation, food, utilities, and scholarship aid for the children to attend. Your donation will support the respite camp/recuperation center for Fukushima children on Sado Island, Japan. For more details about the project, please go to the Fukushima-Sado ‘Open-shut hands’ Recuperation Project website.
