One 4 All & All 4 One Benefit Dance Press Release Tracy’s Night! at Watts Hall Thomaston Tracy’s Night! Dancing 4 a Dancer is a chem-free benefit dance for all ages Saturday, Sept. 8 from 8 to 11 p.m. at Watts Hall, Main Street/Route 1. Organized by the Dancing 4 Fun Saturday Dance Group in co-sponsorship with a number of organizations and individuals, the fun evening will include a great DJ-ed playlist, homebaked goods and a silent auction. The fundraiser will benefit Tracy Rescigno, local dance enthusiast, kayak instructor, Registered Maine Guide, massage therapist and community organizer who is dealing with some challenging health issues. Monies raised will go towards medical and living expenses for Rescigno, who has just returned to the Midcoast after many months in California. In recent years, Rescigno has turned her birthday celebration into an annual community fundraiser, including two “Turnin’ Up the Heat” variety shows to benefit the Knox County Home Energy Committee. She also helped found the Where Do I Go Now? Teen Homelessness Awareness Project and is a regular team member for both the North Atlantic Blues Festival and Camden International Film Festival. Rescigno is part of Midcoast Recreation Center's womens' ice hockey league and a proponent of permaculture. said the Saturday Dance Group’s Aimee Moffitt, who will DJ the dance.“Tracy has offered so much to our community, over and over again. She has organized, advocated for, been outspoken about and been a musician in the name of, specifically, social justice in our community, being a voice for the voiceless … now it’s time for us to do something for her,” Co-sponsors of the benefit include Breakwater Kayak Co., Camden International Film Festival, Midcoast Peace & Justice Group, Where Do I Go Now?, wceDesign/wcePublishing, Ellen Brown, LCSW, PA, Kathryn Matlack and Sharon Pree. Admission is a suggested donation of $10. Organizers are still welcoming donations of items and gift certificates for the All 4 One & One 4 All silent auction and food table.
